“I love meeting new people and working with individuals as an agent of change.

I’m David Durpetti…

  • I am originally from Chicago, Illinois where I started my practice as a therapist. I moved to Asheville, NC because I fell in love with the region, the mountains, the people, and the milder winters.

  • I am a husband and proud father of a college student and toddler.  These are challenging but extremely fulfilling roles and I wouldn’t change it for the world.

  • I have spent many years in child abuse, neglect, and trauma which helped to shape me as a person and therapist.

  • I believe that my background has provided me the ability to empathize with the struggles and experiences that people go through in their everyday lives.

  • I spent time in health care settings and understand the struggles and experiences of hospital staff employees, first responders, and medical professionals and how this can affect their lives as well as their emotional well being.

  • I spent several years teaching accredited courses in trauma, anxiety, and depression as an adjunct professor at Aurora University.

  • I have spent 20 plus years working with people of diverse backgrounds, cultures, sexualities, races, and ethnicities. These have served as invaluable experiences and has helped me to relate and achieve positive results working with people across a variety of demographics.

  • In my free time, I love sports, hiking, enjoying nature, spending time with family, and watching movies.

“There are no obstacles one cannot overcome.”
